i walked alone in the woods
expecting to find a friend who would lead me
somewhere to find myself
but he led me astray
and i only found others
who had searched for their own selves
and were also lost
tossed from life and soul
grown tired and weary from searching
they sat
they watched me
they listened
and they learned
that I was no less lost than themselves

the lost people found solace in my desparation
they found honesty and truth
and with that they departed
