The sky is dark tonight
Dark except for the solitary moon
No stars are seen through the gloom and cloud

There is only one break
And through it 
The intense brightness of the moon shines down

And there I find the only unselfish listener--
The shadow given to me by the quiet moon
In the dark of night, no one disturbs us

I tell shadow how I like the night
And he just smiles
Because he knows we are inseparable
