Cold Black Coffee

The coffee was black today
No sugar
No cream
Only dark and calm

Its aroma filled the air
The same aroma it always had
Pungent and rich
Full of flavor

Too hot to drink at first,
It would burn my tongue
So I let it cool
And sipped quietly til it was cold

Cold coffee is bland
When there is no sugar.
It is time to dispose of styrofoam
And replace it with stainless steel
